It all started in the summer of 2011, when two neighbors—Damian and Charles—met. We ended up talking about cigars and bass fishing. Damian had just moved into the neighborhood from Tennessee, bringing with him a collection of fine cigars and a deep appreciation for the slower, richer things in life, wanting to know more about bass fishing. Charles a lifelong local, had a good interest in cigars and already earned a reputation of a good bass fisherman around those parts. If it swam, Charles knew how to catch it—and if it smoked, Damian knew how to enjoy it.

At first, their worlds didn’t seem to overlap. But early one morning, as fog curled off a local lake and the water sat glass-still, they found themselves side by side on the bank nodding the way outdoorsmen do. A few shared fishing trips turned into a good outing for Damian with a couple of good catches. Damian picked up a rod; Charles learned to appreciate a good cigar and a good story. They realized they weren’t just neighbors—they were brothers of the wild.

Years passed, and with every sunrise on the water and every trail they tracked through the woods, they dreamed bigger. They talked about gear that actually held up, about building something that represented the bond between friends, family, and the outdoors. In 2022, over a beer and many videos together, the idea finally took shape.
